Let’s get started!

Burial Insurance and Bipolar Disorder

Above all, the number one thing you should take away from this article is that yes, you can get burial insurance with bipolar disorder. Just like other illnesses or health issues, there are certain programs that are better than the others.

There are some carriers that we want to look at before others, but do not worry about being denied for burial insurance because of this. In fact, depending on your circumstances, you may qualify for the best tier of coverage, “Level”.

I hear many people tell me they are under the impression that they would not qualify for any coverage, or it would be astronomically expensive. That is simply not true.

In fact, most of my clients with Bipolar Disorder pay the best rates, and get the best level of coverage. Of course, each case is different, so if you are curious as to what you would qualify for, just simply click the “Check Burial Insurance Rates” Button or fill out our quote form on this page!

How Do I Qualify

Qualifying for burial insurance is a very simple process. In fact, you can take the first steps right here on this site. You can fill out the quote forms located on this page, and on the “Check Burial Insurance Rates” page.

Once you do that, you will see your pricing options, and even be able to fill out a pre-qualification survey. This will allow me to pinpoint the perfect carrier for you.

The carriers that I represent for burial insurance, which you can find on my home page, do not require medical exams. So no need to worry about getting your blood drawn or having to go through a physical assessment. What they do is a simple prescription check to verify your medications.

With bipolar disorder, the medications are fairly repetitive. Meaning I see them in most of my cases, so I am very used to discovering which carrier is the best rather quickly.

Which Carrier Will Cover Me?

There is a variety of carriers that will cover you while having Bipolar Disorder.

And yes, they are top, A+ rated carriers that I am tremendously proud to represent. My absolute favorite carriers for my clients with Bipolar are:

  • Royal Neighbors of America
  • CVS
  • Liberty Bankers Life

These three carriers will give my clients day one, level coverage depending on how many medications and which ones are active. The best part for you if you suffer from bipolar disorder, is the signature process for these carriers is so simple.

For Royal Neighbors (RNA) and Liberty Bankers Life (LBL), the process is a very simple 10-15 minute phone interview with the company. They will ask you medical questions that I will have already covered, so it may seem repetitive, but it will require no effort on your end!

Now CVS is a much easier signature process. It is simply a security question. There are a few different options that they give you to choose from, then you select and give the answer and you have signed your application!

So if you are looking for burial insurance with bipolar disorder, those are my top 3 as of now when I’m writing this article to look at.

How Much Coverage can I get With Bipolar Disorder?

That is a great question, and the answer is however much you need!

Burial insurance ranges from amounts of $1,000 to $40,000. You would just need to decide what you want the coverage for. There are typically 3 reasons why people look into burial coverage:

  1. To cover a Burial
  2. To cover Cremation
  3. To leave behind a Financial Gift

I actually have a in depth article about how much you may need here. Each case is different, and I never say one policy is the best for all of my clients.

You can get a very good idea about how much you should be looking for on that article, or by reaching out in the comments below or to me directly.

How Much Will It Cost?

There really is only one way to find out, and that is simply to ask, or fill out a quote form here

Like I have said, each case is different, and there is no one size fits all. I take my clients situations and find the best possible solutions for each of them.

Cost is determined by age as well as health. If Bipolar disorder is the only issue you have, or the other issues are high blood pressure or cholesterol, I would bet that you would get the best rate that is available in your state.

I will say that while cost plays a big factor in these decisions, you should consider the alternative as well.

What happens if you don’t have burial insurance? Your family takes on a tremendous burden to give you a proper burial with finances that they most likely don’t have. What would that look like for them? Would they have to do yard sales? Raise money at local restaurants? The pain that goes with that is sometimes unbearable.

Closing Thoughts

Most importantly, I hope what you have taken from this article is that you can and should get burial insurance, even with Bipolar Disorder.

There are options and programs out there for you, and you owe it to yourself and your loved ones to find out what those look like!

It is my greatest joy to be able to help all of my clients, but especially those who have been denied coverage or told they wouldn’t qualify. The burden lifting off of their shoulders is what drives me every day.

As always, feel free to leave any comments or questions in the comment section below. I look forward to serving you and your family in any way I can!

God Bless.
